Josh is the president and founder of Vox Bivium. Prior to that, he spent the last 13 years in pastoral ministry - most recently as the campus pastor for Grace Church Downtown (Greenville, SC). In addition, he has served as the school chaplain for Shannon Forest Christian School and taught at various other institutions. (High school, undergrad, and graduate school) He holds a BA in Biblical Studies with minor in Philosophy from Palm Beach Atlantic University as well as a MA in Biblical Teaching from Erskine.

He serves as a Guest Lecturer at: Torchbearers in Winter Park Co. and Onelife in Lancaster PA currently. He has taught at Shannon Forest and for Southeastern Seminary through the Renewal Leadership Institute (2011-2012).

He planted a church in Orlando Fl. called Summit, before coming on staff at Shannon Forest Presbyterian Church and then Grace Church DT.

He has owned and operated with a partner, both a real estate investment company (High Water Mark 2002 - 2007) as well as a strength and conditioning consulting company (Upstate Elite Fitness 2011-2013).

He grew up in Racine WI.

Leanne Boone

Head Administrator

Leanne has a BS in education from the University of West Georgia. She taught elementary students for 6 years in Gwinnett Co. Georgia.  She served on staff at Look Up Lodge to gain 18 years experience in Christian camping and discipleship of young women.


Liz Tate

Student Life Coordinator

Liz is initially from Sacramento, CA, but grew up in Greenville, SC. She has a BA in Studio Arts with a concentration in Education from Anderson University. Liz taught middle and high school art at Shannon Forest Christian School for three years before moving to Africa to teach 6th grade as well as middle school art at American Christian Academy in Ibadan, Nigeria. After returning to the United States, Liz worked in Charleston for a year before joining the VoX team in August 2015.


Brian Onken

Academic Director of The River

Brian serves as the Academic Director and an instructor for The River. Brian has a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Talbot Seminary and pursued additional doctoral-level course work in theology, obtaining a second Master’s Degree in Theology from Regent University. He has pastored in both large and small churches, served in leadership roles in two church plants, and
served as a lead researcher/teacher for the Christian Research
Institute and for Walk Thru the Bible.


Greg Boone

Look Up Lodge Christian Camp, Executive Director & Teacher

Greg has a BA from Appalachian State University. He served as at Student Pastor in Atlanta for 7 years and has 18 years experience leading the LUL ministry and teaching over 5,000 students each summer.


Walter Howard

Look Up Lodge Christian Camp, Staff Director

Walter had his BS in counseling from Presbyterian College and his Masters in Counseling from Richmont Graduate University.  He has served on the LUL team for 11 years. Walter is an expert in facilitating team initiatives.


Harry Stevenson

Look Up Lodge Christian Camp, Leader Care Coordinator

Harry has served in the LUL ministry in different roles for over 20 years. He currently ministers directly to the leaders of over 200 churches that partner with Look Up Lodge.

Matt Rogers

The Church at Cherrydale, Teaching Pastor

Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Furman University, a Master of Arts in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Theological Seminary, and he is currently completing his PhD in Applied Theology from Southeastern.


Hugh Carson

The Church at Cherrydale, Connections Pastor

Hugh is a graduate of North Georgia College and later served as an IMB missionary in East Asia for two years. He holds a Masters from Southeastern Theological Seminary.


Jason Malone

Summit Church, Mission & Vision Teaching Elder

Jason is Teaching/Mission Pastor at Summit Church in Greenville, SC.  Summit began in 2008 and now has 6 campuses around the Upstate of South Carolina.  He is married to Jen and has two girls named Caroline and Cate.  If he is not busy with church planting and pastoral coaching, you can find Jason golfing, running or taking in some South Carolina sporting events. Before planting Summit Church, Jason graduated from Cedarville University and served on staff for 9 years at Fellowship Greenville in Greenville, SC.


Kyle Estepp

Summit Church, Partnership & Teaching Elder

Kyle is one of the pastors and elders of Summit Church in Upstate, South Carolina. He is a graduate of Cedarville University in Ohio with a degree in Bible & Pre-Seminary Education as well as minors in Greek and Biblical Studies. He also participated in the distance education program of Trinity Evangelical Seminary in Deerfield Illinois while serving as the Student Ministry Pastor at Southgate Baptist Church in Springfield Ohio for six years before moving to Greenville in 2007 to be a part of planting Summit.


Nathan Forrest

Summit Church, Campus Pastor Simpsonville & Teaching Team

Nathan is currently a Campus Pastor with Summit Church in Simpsonville, SC. After receiving his B.S. in Bible and Bible Teaching from Columbia International University, he worked as a Bible Teacher for Southside Christian School before moving with his wife Emily to Shenyang, China. After four years of teaching the Bible in a variety of settings, Nathan returned to Greenville, SC, to work again with Southside Christian for three years before being asked by Summit Church to work as a campus pastor for their Simpsonville church plant.

Amy Todd

Guest Lecturer

Amy Todd graduated from Mercer University in Macon, GA with a BA in Christianity and Minors in Art (Photography) and Communication. A portion of that study was competed in London, England though American InterContinental University. Amy married Levi Todd in 2003 and began teaching in Christian education, with varying positions including teaching Art, Middle School Bible, and Early Childhood education. Levi and Amy have three daughters and been active in college and youth ministry, children's ministry, and missions throughout their marriage. Amy graduated in 2015 from Columbia International University with a MA in Theological Studies. Amy currently serves as co-director of Women's Ministry at her church and guest lectures at VoX.

Ryan Gillespie

Ryan is a recent graduate of Clemson University.  While fulfilling several roles including Vice President of the student body, Ryan spent a great deal of time working with students on communications skills.  He is working with our students as a part of our Communications class on interview skills, resumes and cover letters.

Melissa White

Miracle Hill, Performance & Quality Improvement

Melissa has spent over 15 years in the non-profit sector leading teams, developing programs and growing leaders.  She graduated from Campbell University (home of the Fighting Camels) with a BA in Religion and holds her CPC in life coaching from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching.  Melissa currently resides in Greenville, SC and serves with Miracle Hill Ministries where she leads training, coaching and quality improvement initiatives for the organization. 


Ryan McCrary

G.O.A.T., Excecutive Director

Ryan is the founder and director of GOAT and Mountain Goat Climbing in Greenville, South Carolina. He graduated from Clemson University in 2007 with a degree in Graphic Communications and spent two years as a producer at a Greenville-based Advertising Agency and produced multiple award-winning campaigns in both print and non-traditional outdoor advertising campaigns before starting GOAT. He lives in Greenville with his wife, Chrissy and their daughter, Mae. 

Cam Hill

G.O.A.T., Mountain Goat Manager

Cam is from Mansfield, Ohio. He graduated from Cedarville University in 2012 with a BA in Criminal Justice and minors in Bible and Business Administration. He has been on staff at Summit Church since 2012 in various capacities. Cam served in student ministry until January, 2015 and has since transitioned into a teaching/preaching role. He’s been on staff full time at GOAT (Great Outdoor Adventure Trips) as the Mountain Goat Gym Manager since April, 2013. Cam and his wife Joy have lived in the Nicholtown Community for 3 years now and have recently started a ministry called Éleos serving Jr. High and High School students in the community.
